Succession certificate whether all legal heirs should apply?

dear members

if there are more than 1 legal heir of a deceased hindu male having securities without a nomination or a will, succession certificate is necessary beyond a certain value for transmission of these securities - there is no dispute in this view.

now my doubt is whether all the legal heirs should together apply for such certificate - or a few can apply and the remaining can give no objection affidavit later in response to public notice? is there any expressed condition on this in the succession act?

thanks for the advice.

Anyone can apply. You make the others defendants and file their no objection. Ensure that you disclose the correct schedule of property.
