Succession certificate

Can anybody tell me the exact procedure of getting a succession certificate from Court. As it takes 3-4 months, is it necessary that all the legal heirs should be present in Court at the time of application for succession certificate because in a case one heirs is abroad and cannot come frequently.

What is the need for succession certificate?

Legal heir certificate might suffice.Tehsildar issues it, after verification/report by revenue officials.

You have to file a case for succession in the civil court of your jurisdiction , one of the successor have to file the petition and other successor will be made party ,within 5-6 months you will obtain the certificate from the civil court .

Pricedure is a procedure  and you have got to follow tjhe procediure  whatever your problem,s may bbe.

There is no shortcut process of obtaining a succession certificate. The certificate is granted by a competent civil court after you file an appropriate petition mentioning the details of legal heirs, property etc. The court will thereafter issue notices to all the legal heirs to attend the proceedings.

You can get the notices served quickly by getting the vakalatnamas of all the legal heirs filed in court. By this manner you can save time in service of notice. The rest will be done as per the procedure
