Step father- adoption required?

Respected all,

A and B, is a married couple. The have a kid C.

A, mother of C has got divorce from B.

A has remarried to D. D is step father of C and wants to give his name to C.

In that case is D required to adopt C officially to give his name? or what other option is available?

First the new father has to get written permission from natural gaurdian who is your ex-husband, without which no adoption process cant start. If done anything, it will be illegal, and your ex-husband can drag you all to court. Roam another decade behind adoption.
