WE WANT TO KNOW WHETHER LTA, MEDICAL ALLOWANCE, BONUS, GRATUITY, SUPER ANNUATION PL ENCASHMENT , ARE COMPULSORY FOR AN SHOP AND ESTABLISHMENT COMPANY

Mr. Srikanth,

Payment of Bonus and Gratuity are statutory requirements even for a company registered under Shops and Establishment and they have to be paid under relevant Acts, Rules at appropriate times.

As far as medical allowance is concerned, though not statutory, but medical relief under ESI scheme should be provided statutorily to all employees who fall below the statutory minimum wages.

LTA, Superannuation PL enchasment depends on the pleasure, capacity and policy of the establishment.
