Stamp paper value

is it mandatory to do rent agreement on 500RS stamp paper rather than 100RS stamp paper?

which is the state that you refer to the proposed stamp duty in the rental agreement?, The rental agreement can be made on Rs. 100 NJS paper itself in most of the states except in Bombay, where I heard it is on Rs. 500/- paper. Confirm it locally.

In most of the state rent agreement is made on the 100 rupees non judicial stamp paper ,

stamps and registration act are differ from state to state so it is better to reffer your state stamps act

For each Article there is a Seperate Stamp Duty fixed by the Government, for ex: The Stamp Duty for Agreement in Delhi is Rs. 50/- similarly each state have different stamp duty, So you have to make the Rent Agreement accordingly to stamp duty of your state. Regards, www.edrafter.in 7836993369
