Stamp duty reduction by maharashtra government

Is  recent stamp duty reduction by Maharashtra government for land purchase.

Quick Summary
The Maharashtra government has recently reduced stamp duty on property registrations. For transactions between September 1 and December 31, the rate has been lowered from 5% to 2%. This discussion also touches upon whether stamp duty on gift deeds and Power of Attorney (POA) documents has been similarly reduced. For specific advice, consulting a local Sub-Registrar, document writer, or lawyer is recommended.

Stamp duty is a State subject, consult area Sub-Registrar / a document writer or a local prudent lawyer, if it is not a question paper.
