Stamp duty payable on lease surrender deed


how much is the stamp duty payable if we SURRENDER  the lease deed before expiry of the lease period .

Both the parties have mutually agreed .

at what rate & on what amount the stamp duty should be paid .

the property is situated in NOIDA UP & is in the MALL ( its a COMMERCIAL PROPERTY )

To my best, the stamp duty shall be payable 4% on the lease amount or the duty with which such lease is chargeable, whichever is less  (the duty payable shall be rounded off to the next multiple of ten rupees).

Stamp duty does not differ between residnetial,commercial and industrial property.

The duty differs from state to state.

So, you can enquire with the registering authority.

Duty and Fee for cancellation or revocation of previously registered documents are very less only.
