Stamp duty for deed of cancellation of sale deed

I would like to know samp duty payable in karnataka for Deed of cancellation of an Absolute Sale Deed.

Context: X sold a site to Y through a registered sale deed. It turns out that X is actually not the owner (and it is her husband who is the actual owner). This deed needs to be cancelled as the registered sale deed serves no purpose and voidable. Also, it should be noted that cancellation does NOT result in RECONVEYANCE as the seller X was never the owner and hence cancellation will not restore title back to X. What is the stamp duty payable for such cancellation which has no effect of re-conveyance. This is a case of genuine cancellation. As a sub question, can X/Y recover the stamp duty paid for the registration of the sale deed. Thanks a lot in advance.

Why do you require a document  cancelled with has no validity at all.
