sir,
my marriage was held and registered on 2009.In my marriage certificate one letter is left in my name and i noticed it while iam applying for passport in the year 2012. we asked marriage register office to correct the spelling but they said they cannot correct it. now my husband is in saudi. what can i do to get the passport and visa?

DEAR QUERIST,
you have to file a suit in civil court for the correction of name in the marriage certificate,you have to give some evidences in support of your name like matriculation certificate,birth certificate or any other documents where your name is mentioned then court will isuue orders in your support for correction of name ,then by attaching the court orders copy alongwith application for correction of name to the concerned authority you will get issued a new certificate with the corrected name.
