Softex for non stpi unit

We acquired an company in 2009. Now this software company acquired, deals with direct exports of Software. We are not entitled for STPI benefits as the acquisition part was below 60%. But i think we have to submit the softex forms as we are involved in Direct Exports. Can we submit the Softex to STPI without being registered with it.

Thank you

Vinay

If the Company you acquired wasoriginally registered under STPI,then such change of stake holders doesnot discharge its liability to compliance with STPI rules. If it was not originally registered, then how come it wasestablished in STP. Just examines the details and act accordingly

On the query Can a Non STPI Unit submti SOFTEX to STPI?

Yes, non STPI unit can submit the SOFTEX to STPI and get it cleared.

In this cases service charges would be PER SOFTEX basis and not on annual service charge basis.

Ramesh
