Shortage of small dinomination currency

The small denomination currency i.e. the notes of Rs. 5 , Rs. 10 , Rs. 20 and coins are not very easily available in the market.Nobody is willing to give you change very easily. For example if you have to pay a bill of say Rs. 616 and you give note of Rs. 1000 to the seller then either he will refund you only Rs. 380 or refuse to sell unless you bring the change of Rs. 16.

Every year RBI issue these notes and coins but theses are not flowing in the market. Where these currency notes are going and how they are made out of the  economy.

This issue a citizen can overcome by taking 10 Rs notes from banks and many banks in the city

are issuing only bigger denomination and smaller notes are being confined to chest . Banks

can offload some stock in the market from the chest .
