since the tenancy was given to the tenant i.e. your father, Hence there is no bounding upon the landlord to transfer the tenancy of the shop in the family members name.
You need to sit with the landlord and speak about transfer of tenancy of the shop and pay some transfer fees (to the landlord) as mutually agreed.
