One of my friends has purchased some shares from a company called "southern spice" long time ago. It has come to my knowledge that this company doesn’t exist now. Is this true? What if the company has winded up their business can he claim his share back?

Please check with the Registrar of Companies' website MCA21, available in the Ministry of Company Affairs website, if the company still exist. If the Company was listed with any Stock Exchange, the status of the company can be checked with the stock exchanges also.
