Settlement Deed can be changed by Settler?

Settlement Deed written and specified as "irrevocable".
But now Settler wishes to amend/alterate. Is it possible?

Contact a local advocate for such amending of the earlier deed through a fresh deed duly registered stating such reasons and signatures of all the parties that contributed signatures in earlier settlement deed.

Registered settlement documents can not be altered unilaterally. All signatories to the document must agree to the alteration in writing.

You can go for Execute rectification deed.

What is the reason and what is the extent of alteration?

who is settler? when it is written that it is irrevocable, means consideration has passed to settler,if that be so,it cannot be altered unilaterally.

Kishor Mehta (CEO)     23 July 2020

Any registered documents CANNOT be ALTERED UNILATERALLY, WRITTEN CONSENT of all SIGNATORIES is MANDATORY.
