Settlement clear

I have settled my credit card 2 years back. Now I have money to clear dues. what should I do?

Quick Summary
If you settled your credit card debt two years ago and now have funds available to clear any remaining dues, the advice is to approach your bank directly. You should submit a formal application explaining your past inability to repay due to COVID-19 and stating the original outstanding amount. The aim is to negotiate a one-time settlement (OTS) amount, potentially with a reduced interest rate, to close the account definitively and obtain a 'no due' certificate.

Approach your banker but not the experts on this platform.

Make an application to the company stating that due to Kovid you were not in a position to repay the credit card dues amounting to Rs...............(Actual) .and now this amount outstanding was stated as......................

Now that the cardholder is trying to dispose of the property, the company may quote that OTS amount possible enabling the Cardholder to close the account in one go subject to providing of no due certificate.  The request is not to waiver of principal and entire interest but charge interest @ 2% over Bank rate without loss to the company.
