Service Break in a Pvt Company

Could any one give me an idea about service breaks in a Private Company especially related to Maternity leave. I.e If the employee takes more leave than granted and doesn't join on time. will it amount to service break. What is the procedure for implementing that?

it all depend upon the terms and condition in the service agreement signed by u before joining the job with the pvt company.

What if there are no stipulations regarding non joining after maternity leave in the service agreement.
