Sc changes his religion will he loose job

Yes.SCs of hindu,sikh and buddist religions alone are eligible to avail the concessions entitiled, and  should continue as such to enjoy the concession. In case one switches over to  religions other than these three, he becomes ineligible to continue in the job which was secured as SC

With deep respect to the above view I beg to differ on the point in issue. Caste is by birth and you may embraced any religion of your taste but catse from which you descent will remain the same and can not change the status of your job by reason of your new religion, as the constitution is based on Secular State.

sir, i also have same openion, but i heard that if anybody converts to chriatianity or muslim they will loose S.C status.

I may with due regard be allowed to partially disagree with  Mr Issak. If converted to Christianity of Islam SC employee will lose caste status that is fine.  But there is no provision that he will loose his job. If such provision is made even in future it may be against secular spirit of the constitution. He will no more be entitled to seek reservation in promotion / Govt accommodations etc. He will be e Gen category employee. He will NEVER NEVER lose his job because when he joined he was SC (who knows he may have joined in Gen quota).

I may with due regard be allowed to partially disagree with  NK Assumi. The caste certificate itself says that he has not converted to any religion other than hindu,sikh and buddist religions. The moment is converts to other faith he is no more SC.
