Sale of inherited Property

I have inherited a property from my mother, now i want to sell the property, is there any requirement to pay part of proceeds to my mother on sale?

Quick Summary
You've inherited a property and are considering selling it. The discussion clarifies that inheritance is the transfer of assets after someone's death, either by will or law. Crucially, if you are inheriting from your mother, your primary duty is to care for her well-being during her lifetime, not to pay her proceeds from selling the inherited property.

Inheritance is the practice of transferring property, titles, debts, rights, and obligations to the legal heir of a person upon the death of that person either by way of 'Will' or through the prevalent laws of succession. So you have to lookafter her and see the welfare of your mother till her death.

absolutely correct , your duty is to maintain your mother peacefully till her life
