Sale deed

good evening experts ,

few months back one of our relatives got registered the land after paying total consideration . as the vendor and vendee  are known to each other in that acquaitance at the time of registration seller gave his mobile  number in registration office for collection of original saledeed. after geting the message the seller collected the documents. now this seller is not giving the saledeed to purchaser and he kept in his custody without giving saledeed now what is the remedy for the vendee.

kindly need your suggestion in this regard.

Quick Summary
A buyer has registered land and paid the full amount, but the seller is refusing to hand over the original sale deed. The buyer provided their mobile number at the registration office, and the seller collected the documents. Now, the seller is keeping the deed. The advice given suggests obtaining a certified copy from the Sub-Registrar's office, which is legally equivalent to the original. Additionally, issuing a legal notice to the seller demanding the original sale deed is recommended as a course of action.

Amicably settle the issue.  You may get a certified copy of the same from Sub Registrar office which will be treated as original.

Yes, you can get certified copy of sale deed from Sub Registrar Office Vendor has no right to retain sale deed, issue legal notice to vendor and demand original sale deed.
