Salary deduction

Dear Members,

Can we deduct some % of salary of employee for a temperory period instead of lay off to them, because of downturn in market /recession period.

Please suggest .

If you are deducting salary first of all you have to give a cause.You can introduce "No Work No Pay Scheme

I would suggest you communicate the same to employees first.
