RULE GOVERNING SMALL SHOPKEEPERS AND THELE WALAS

Hi !

I want to know what are remedies available for fake goods sold/contaminated foods delivered/bad behaviour done by Small shop owners or Thelewalas running their shop in the streets without having proper licence. Number of these type of sellers are very high and they're in almost every street of the country. Many times innocent customers are cheated by them and they are left with no remedies in their hand except saying 'aisa hi hota hai aajkal sala system hi kharab hai'. Many times some of these shopowners even try to do physical with customers. I remember one incident of Delhi recently where one IAS aspirant was killed by some shopkeeper while he was trying to abide by the law. This is really a shameful situation and needs a proper remedial action against the culprits.

The small shopkeepers and the street vendors/thellewalas are goverened by the municipal corportion. All complaints about these entities should be filed with the local municipal corporation. In case of criminal event it should be filed with the area police authorities.
