Rti to mumbai muncipal corporation

A visit was made by the Pest Control Department of MCGM to our residential premises based on a fictitious complaint made by someone. I think this person does not exist. .Can a RTI be filed with the concerned department to disclose the identity of the complainant.?

You will be wasting your time as BMC will make you run before giving away the information. But do take steps against rodents to save building from structural harm.

Yes. You can certainly seek information under RTI Act. You will have to write to the designated PIO in the municipal office. If he does not reply or if you are not satisfied with his reply, you have the right for a first appeal and a second appeal also. The second appeal would be to the information commissioner of the State.
