Rti information obtained by residents association from cmda

Dear Experts,

The secretary of our Residents association filed a few applications under RTI Act, 2005, with Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority and got a few information and drawings on behalf of the association and RTI application fee was paid from Society fund . Am I entitled to get the same documents for review and / or take a photocopy of these records.

Thank You

Quick Summary
A resident asked if they could access RTI documents obtained by their residents' association from the CMDA. The consensus is yes, provided the individual is a member of the association. This confirms members' rights to review and potentially photocopy information gathered on behalf of the society.
