RTI FOR PNB&POSTAL SERVICES

WHERE CAN I FILE RTI FOR PNB AND POSTAL SERVICES ALSO TELL ME WHETHER I CAN FILE A CASE IN CONSUMER COURT IF ANY BANK DENYING TO RETRUN MY LENDING DOCUMENTS WHICH WERE TAKEN ON THE PLEA OF PRE APPROVED LOAN AND THE LOAN WAS NOT GIVEN TO ME AND EVEN THE REASON FOR DENYING THE LOAN WAS NOT EXPLANING TO ME THE CORRESPONDIN HAVE BEEN  GOING  ON FOR LAST YEAR

FOR PNB, FILE APPLN UNDER RTI ACT WITH CENTRAL PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER [CPIO] AT HEAD OFFICE OF THE BANK. HE IS SUPPOSED TO SEND WITHIN 5 DAYS OF RECEIPT TO CORRECT CPIO TO WHOM THE MATTER RELATES. U CAN ALSO SEND TO CPIO OF THEIR NEAREST ZONAL OFFICE. U MAY REFER MY FILES ON RTI ON THIS SITE. FOR POSTAL SERVICES, FILE APPLICATION WITH CPIO OF POST OFFICE FROM WHICH YOU DESIRE TO HAVE INFORMATION.


U HAVE TO FILE CLAIM IN CONSUMER FORUM OF THE DISTRICT WHERE CAUSE OF ACTION HAS ARISEN I.E. WHERE TRANSACTION HAS TAKEN PLACE. IN CASE OF BANK/POST OFFICE, U CAN FILE COMPLAINT IN THE DISTRICT WHERE THEY HAVE A BRANCH/OFFICE

FOR BANKING PROBLEM I WOULD SUGGEST APPRACH TO BANKING OMBUDSMAN BY VISITING www.bankingombudsman.rbi.org.in  THIS IS FAST, CHEAP AND EFFECTIVE PROCEDURE FOR PROBLEM WITH BANKS.
