 Is Mumbai University covered under the RTI Act?

YES UNDER RTI ANY BODY OR AUTHORITY MADE BY THE APPROPRIATE GOVERNMENT OR BODY OWNED AND ONTROLLED OR SUBSTANTIALLY FINANCED IS COVERED UNDER RTI

SINCE UNIVERSITIES ARE FINANCED BY GOVERNMENT SO THEY ARE COVERED UNDER RTI

Yes, Mumbai University is covered under the RTI Act. A person one can asked the question to Mumbai University.

absolutely it is covered, since its a public institution and is duly covered under the RTI Act....and University must ve adopted some rules in this context and must ve appointed some Public Information officers....either u visit the University to verify such rules or check the website of the concerned university.

 Any University or educational institution which is granted by the Government of India as well as by the SG will comes within the peview of RTI and informations EXCEPT exempted under section 8 of RTI ACt 2005 can be obtained from a Uninversity.
