Rights to succession of wife

Hi All,

I wanted to enquire if by hindu law -

1. A woman is eligible on the death of her husband to claim the property of her husbands first wife, received from her husbands first wifes father-in-law and in the name of his first wife, in the event that the first wifes blood relatives are alive ?

2. A woman is eligible on the death of her husband to claim a property that her husband and his first wife had received from the father of his first wife and for which her husband and his first wife had joint ownership of again in the event of the first wifes blood relatives being alive ?

Also would be grateful if you could support your answers with law point references.

No the woman married after the death of the first wife so i am not sure if she would be considered as the second wife, soon after her husband died, her husband and his first wife had no children and neither does she have any children....thanks.....

actually if the women is the first wife of her husband thn surly all the property of his husband she vll get by inheritant.but according to hindu law ther is no such place for bigamy if the second wife is ther c is totally exempted from succession.only it is consider tht place where custom prevails.

The first wife will get one share of the property of the deceased husband. If the deceased divorced the first wife then no share will go to her, but the childrens of the first wife has equal shares. on the existense of the first marriage , the second wife has no legal right. if there is non existense of the first marriage, the second wife has legal right in the property of the deceased husband.
