Quick Summary
This discussion addresses a common rental situation where a landlord fails to provide receipts for advance rent payments made under an 11-month agreement. It explores how a tenant can use the signed agreement to prove payments if the landlord later claims rent is due. The advice also touches upon a tenant's recourse if they believe the demanded rent is excessive compared to the property's value.

If the tenant feels that the amount of rent that is being asked is too much compared to the value of the property, he/she may approach the court to seek redressal.
