Rent control

Quick Summary
This discussion explores whether a tenant can challenge the landlord's status in a rent control situation, especially when the landlord's name isn't officially registered on property documents. It clarifies that a landlord is the one receiving rent, who may not be the actual owner. The conversation addresses the possibility of a landlord filing an eviction suit, even if they aren't the registered owner, while rent is being deposited in court under their name.
