Rent advance dispute

Hi,

I've paid advance(16000/-) to occupy a house in hyderabad and couldnt move into the new house due to some personal problems. I've notified the owner immediately. Its been 6 months and the owner is not willing to return the money. I have no agreement and any proof that I gave the amount to the owner. Please suggest how can I proceed to get the money back from the owner.

Without Agreement or any proof it would be difficult to recover money from them On what basis or document you were staying in that house they must have made some document with u ?

Hi Abjieeth,

I havent occupied the house. I just paid the advance. But due to some personal reasons I couldnt move to that house. So I asked the owner my advance back. Please provide any solution. Thanks in advance.

Forget yuor money as a bad debts, since you have no document to show, and untilland unless the house owner admits of receiving money. That apart it has been 6 months now, be careful in future in such transactions.
