Relinquishing deed

dear members

i am posting after a long time.

i have a query for learned lawyer members experienced in hindu succession act etc:

there are three heirs to a piece of property. one heir wants to relinquish his/her share in favour of one. should that person execute a registered relinquishment deed or a settlement deed?

Registered relinquishment deed is the best and the safe option .

@Author, if there are 3 legal heirs over a property, then one should relinquish his rights in favour of other 2 persons.  Or 2 persons out of 3 should relinquish their right in favour of one person.  so best option is to execute gift deed in favour of one person for his 1/3rd share.
