Religion conversion

I'm married. But I'm Christian by birth but I have faith in Hinduism. And at the time of marriage I stated myself as a hindu. Now can I make an affidavit of converting to Hinduism after marriage?

Yes, you may adopt / profess Hinduism, if you feel so, there is no legal impediment.

You have stated, inter alia, "......the conversion must be announced in the Government Gazette so that it can be easily reflected in all other legal papers."

Is it legally required ??
