Relieving of a npcil employee

Sir,

I was on approved leave from 6th March to 12th March 2023. On 13th I have mailed my reporting officer regarding my ill health and mentioned that my medical treatment is going on and i will be joining after consulting doctor. on the same day, my transfer order was issued from head quarter.

Now I want to know that

1) whether I can extend my leave on medical ground or not

2) whether I will be relieved from current location for transferred location during my medical leave period.

3) if I have been relieved whether it will become compulsory for me to join new location during leave on medical ground.

Quick Summary
An NPCIL employee on approved leave fell ill and requested an extension, only to receive a transfer order. They sought clarification on extending their medical leave, being relieved during leave, and the obligation to join a new location while on medical leave. The advice provided confirms that medical leave can be extended and that while an employer can issue a relieving order during leave, joining the new post is only expected after the leave concludes.

1. You can extend your leave on medical grounds. 2. If your employer issue relieving order during leave, after the expiry of leave you can join in a new place where you posted. 3. No.
