relenquish deal

My self and my sister had fought a case in court with our brother over the inheririted propery (which was in the name of our late father), after count adjustment we signed a relenquish deal with our brother, who gave 10 lacs each in return of this deal. This deal and amount is registeted in court. Now my question is what would be the tax liability for me and my sister on this amount.

Property inheritence - no tax liability, either Cash or kind.
