Rehabilitation agreement in howrah district -west bengal -registration?

To withdraw eviction suit, developer wants to execute rehabilitation agreement with tenant. This provides temporrary dislocation and rehabilitation once 3 rd party Developer completed house.

Will this agreement requires registration under West Bengal act? Valuation please

Quick Summary
This discussion explores the registration requirements for a rehabilitation agreement in Howrah, West Bengal, specifically when a developer uses it to temporarily dislocate tenants during construction. While unregistered documents may not be directly enforceable in court, they can serve as evidence for breach of contract. The enforceability often depends on whether the agreement is duly stamped and if any local laws mandate registration.

Any agreement excecuted by an unregistered document will not be enforceble in court of law, however this instrument can be used as an evidence in case you file a suit for relief due to breach of the conditions of this agreement

To my knowledge, an agreement duly stamped is enforceable unless there are local laws which makes registration mandatory.
