Regarding claiming of land by neighbour

Hi,

we have around 1 acre of land near Dharmapuri district, tamil nadu state and it is registered under my name. It was ancestral land and it is registered under my name after proper release deed.

Now my neighbour is claiming that the land belongs to him and when we asked documents regarding that, he is not producing that but threatening us and he also went to SP office, Dharmapuri and looks he complained about us.

We have not got the call from SP office yet, but can someone let me know how can we legally answer to SP if they call us that it is our portion of land?

If you have proper docuements to prove that this property belongs to you alone then why do you hesitate to meet the SP in the event  of being summoned.

If nothing happens in your favor then you can file a suit for permanent injunction against the neighbor to restrain him from interfering in your possessio and enjoyment of the property.

If the Superintendent of Police (SP) office calls you regarding a land dispute with a neighbor, it's essential to be prepared and know your rights. Here's a general outline to help you legally answer their queries: 1. _Verify the caller's identity_: Ensure the caller is genuinely from the SP office. 2. _Ask for written notice_: Request a written notice or summons regarding the land dispute. 3. _Seek legal advice_: Consult a lawyer or legal expert to understand your rights and obligations. 4. _Gather documents_: Collect relevant documents, such as: - Title deeds - Property records - Survey reports - Any previous agreements or disputes 5. _Be prepared to explain your side_: Clearly and calmly explain your perspective on the land ownership and any supporting evidence. 6. _Avoid confrontations_: Remain respectful and avoid getting into arguments with the neighbor or SP office. 7. _Follow legal procedures_: Cooperate with the legal process and follow the advice of your lawyer. Some specific points to mention when speaking to the SP office: - "I request a written notice regarding the land dispute." - "I would like to seek legal advice before discussing the matter further." - "Can you please provide more information about the complaint filed by my neighbor?" - "I have documentation that supports my claim to the land." Remember to stay calm, professional, and seek legal guidance throughout the process.
