DEAR SIR,
WE HAVE PAID FRANKING AMOUNT OF 92000 AGAINST MORTAGAGE OF PROPERTY TO THE STAMPS DEPARTMENT AND GOT THE DOCUMENTS FRANKED. NOW WE HAVE PROBLEM FROM AXIS BANK AND THE DEAL IS CANCELLED. CAN I GET THE REFUND OF THE FRANKING AMOUNT.

I think once the documents are stamped there shall be no refund of the amount. You may also enquire the stamps department whether there is any provision of atleast half of the amount be refunded in case of any withdrawal/cancellation.

Sure, you can get the refund provided you the submit the original documents of franking and give a written application. I think the time limit for refund is 6 months. please check this out and act quickly.
