Refund of court stamo fee

Hello,

I had a civil suit against a land dispute in the court. for which i was made deposit a court fee of Rs. 150000/- in the form of non judicail stamps.

eventually the dispute was settled through mutual consent out of the court and for refund of the stamp duty i have applied now the concerned officers say that the duty will be refunded with a 10 % deduction.

please suggest is that correct?

you dont get entire refund of entire court fees . it depends upon the stage wherein settlement was arrived at . 10%deduction is reasonable .

First of all I would like to state that Non-Judicial stamp papers are not accepted as court fees.

For refund, you will get back an amount after deductions only.
