Record of legal notices by lawyers

Hi all,

My wife sent me a legal notice through her lawyer about impending divorce.

My question: Do advocates keep a record of the legal notices in their offices that they send to the opposite parties?

Clarify.

yes copy of the legal notice will always be kept in our files

it is a mandatory to keep the copy because if we want to file a case on the notice sent then a copy of the notice should be file as a document and why you got this doubt
