I am planning to move to a new Home on monthly rental basis. We have mutually agreed for a monthly rent of Rs.10,000 and an advance payment of Rs.1,00,000. The Home owner has requested me to give the advance payment in 2 installments (60% on Feb 15th and the balance 40% on the day when I occupy the Home which is March 5th, 2012). The Home owner has assured to provide me a rental agreement after receiving the full payment from me.
What is the procedure to get a temporary receipt for the cash payment?
Can we prepare a receipt in a white paper with 1 Re. revenue stamp attached or this should be done in a non-judicial Stamp paper?
Any help would be highly appreciated.
