Query on gift deed

Is family tree required to gift a property as gift deed by own brother.

If family tree is not available what are the other options.

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether a family tree is necessary when gifting property between siblings via a gift deed. The consensus is that a family tree is not required if the property is 'self-acquired'. Self-acquired property is defined as property purchased using one's own income. The process involves a registered gift deed with applicable stamp duty and registration charges.

You can gift your self acquired property and for that no family tree is required.

Hello,

Any person can gift his self-acquired property by way of a gift deed. The gift deed has to be a registered gift deed by paying stamp duty and registration charges.

Sefl acquired means property purchased from one's own income.
