Hi,
I need a help in understanding the procedure to get my passport. 2 months back i hve applied for passport. I got a query stating tht my name and my father's name as per ssc differs, pls furnish documents.
So we had been given two options
1)changing the name in ssc
2)giving a paper add in news papers.
Kindly advice me which is the best adoptable process

Second option is better or if strictly say possible as it would not be possible to change the name in SSC.

Change of names on certificates through public gazette order. To obtain the order, you have to submit MRO certificate annexure II. To obtain this annexure, you have to go to Police stn. for police clearance certificate from your local jurisdiction police stn. After all getting these docuements, you have to submit govt. press office, near Chamchalguda prison, Hyderabad.
