purchase of plot for an NRI

Dear All,

I am an NRI working now in Thailand.I want to buy one plot in my village panchayat in tamil nadu.Can I buy the plot as I am an NRI? Is there any option to buy the plot and get it registered on my name without my presence at subregister office? I am expecting your valuable advice.

My name is Bhaskar. I am also in a same position of you. I too want to purchase a house near Tirupati but i am working in Cairo, Egypt. I cant travel from here for the registration. If you know any method by any means, kindly let me know.

You can both purchase the property without visiting India. You first get a Power of Attorney for the purchase of a property which you want.
