Provisional patent

I have a filing related query.. so for filing provisional patent, we fill form 1 and 2, however after filing up form 2,When I try to go te form 2 section again and check the application number. it is showing that the complete specification has been already done.. can you tell me if this is a technical glitch.. if not how can I convert this into a provisional again?. As in section 9(3) we can do it.

Might be a technical glitch. Try reaching out to the patent office or a patent agent to sort this out.

They can help with converting it to a provisional if needed, citing Section 9(3). You can also try searching online for more info on this issue. Hope it gets resolved soon!

Sometimes you may not be aware of the mistakes you have committed while filling up the application form.

Hence you may contact an agent for this and proceed under their guidance on all such further issues.

Thank you sm Sir for the reply. I will do that.

Wanted to know I have made any mistake while filing as it has asked me to attach form 2 while filing form 1, and since the rules tell us to file form1 and 2; I have gone ahead and filed form 2 as well (There it was not accepting 0 claims, hence told 1 claim and have written that this is not applicable). So for provisional patent should I have filed only form 1 with form 2 as attachment and stopped there?

It would be better to approach the authorities concerned.
