Prosecution evidance

In a state case criminal trial the case is that the accused was distributing pamphlets in society after which a scuffle took place. Accused was arrested charge sheet filed charges framed trial has started and complainant has been crossed. In this entire 7 years there had been no police evidence regarding the pamphlet like panchnama and others and now at this belated stage a pamphlet along with an application has been filed by the PP that it should b included as a prosecution evidence for the trial. What does the law say for such belated filing.
