In a case where someone is living in a property for more than 10 years and have paid a amount to buy that property but doh't have any valid documents who and the one who was the owner of property have already died and now their son is the owner of property, who becomes the owner of property in such case?

uncleared query , first of all to whom the initial amount is apid to buy that property ? is there any agreement made in this regard ?

The amount was paid the former owner who is dead now and don't have any valid documentation. But we are living in the house for last 14 years the former owner was sister of my father, father paid the market amount of at that time of the property but haven't done any documentation because of the kinship
