Property partition written on white paper is valid ?

Dear Sir,

I have problem with my brother to divide the property of my parents.  I am 62 yrs old. My brother is 46 yrs old.

I have been asking for property division for last 8 yrs to divide. he saying that as of now he did not required property division.

last year, with the help of  relatives, we have divided the property and written clearly on white paper with the help of a lawyer and palnned to register the property in 10 days as per written on paper.

later he did not come forward to register, and he is saying that property division written on paper is not  vaild/

We clearly mention the property division on paper with sign of both brrothers and signed with the witnesses.

Please let me know,  is that partition which we wrote on white paper is not vaild ?

Thanks,

Prakash

As of my knowledge the partition without registration is invalid. so better you and brother will register the document ,then only it is valid. wait our learned experts will give valuable advice in this regard
