Property partition case filed by unmarried daughter

Page no : 2

Dr J C Vashista (Advocate)     02 November 2016

Well advised by experts.

However, I would like to add that married daughter(s) are not dependent upon father and she/they cannot claim any maintenance. Unmarried daughter is liability of father when she is not earning.

Self-acquired immovable property can be disposed of by the title holder wherein the concept of coparcener do not apply. In case the title holder has disposed self-acquired property during his/her life time other members of family has no claim, interest or right and not to speak of title.

Ancestral property shall devolve upon to all coparceners as per share.
