Property gift deeds

Dear All,

Our Grandfather had purchased some Revenue sites in and around Bangalore and registered all in the name of my Grandmother during the year 1950-1970. Grandfather expired 10 years ago. They have four sons. Now, my Grandmother has "Gift Deeded" some of the properties 3 months back to her other children ignoring the elder son.

My question is, can the elder son challenge these gift deeds and is he valid to claim on the same properties?

Kindly suggest. It is very urgent.

Regards,

Prabhu.

if it is inherited property from your grand father, she has to divide equally and distribute among all sons, in this case the property is in the name of your grand mother, she has all the liberty to settle or gift to who ever she likes, the elder son cannot dispute or contest the gift deed.

It is the absolute property of your grandmother and she can validly gift it to anyone.

It is not an inherited property. My Grandfather purchased from his earned money. Can the Grandchildren challenge the gift deed??
