Generally speaking NO, but if any maintainance order is passed in favor of the wife and the husband makes default in its payment, the his property can be attached to recover it.

Wife does not any right to husband's property. So she can not claim. However, in some cases, court can ask the husband to make arrangement for accomodation to wife.

A bill is being prepared in parliament to give right to wife over 50% of husbands property. But not sure how many years it will take to pass the bill.

What i have heard from sources is the wife cannot claim property from husband after they are divorced but she can claim husband's property if divorce is not there between them and they are married on record. Is that true?
