Karnataka Tax on Professions, Trades and callings stipulates payment of Profession Tax by establishments situated in Karnataka. There is no clarity on Establishements having only Liasion office with Only one employee. Similarly there is no clarity on Quasi Governement organisations' offices situated in the State of Karnataka.
Can anyone claify whether
1) Joint venture organisation of W.B Govt Industrial Development Corporation- Are they liable to pay Profession Tax in Karnataka
2) If there is only one employee, is the organisation still liable to pay profesion Tax of Karnataka.
